A Berks County English teacher has been arrested and charged with unlawful contact with a minor and the corruption of minors after an investigation allegedly revealed that she sent nude photos of herself to a 17-year-old student.
According to the Berks County district attorney, Stephanie Luckey, 37, who taught at Muhlenberg High School, created a private Twitter account in April so her and the student could talk. Between then and June, the conversation allegedly turned sexual. Luckey is accused of sending between five and 10 nude photos of herself as well as a video of "herself performing a sexual act," according to the Berks County district attorney.
The two would also allegedly kiss in Luckey's classroom after school.
The DA's office said it began the investigation after receiving a call from ChildLine and the Berks County Children & Youth Services.
Luckey resigned from her position in August, surrendered to the DA's office on Tuesday and is awaiting arraignment.
