Here's Matt Klentak calling Howard Eskin's question 'ridiculous'

Long-tenured Philadelphia sports radio and television host Howard Eskin has a history of getting under people's skin — or at least getting decent sound bites from them. Sam Hinkie. Charlie Manuel. Hell, even the mayor!

So it's no surprise he broke mild-mannered Phillies general manager Matt Klentak. Taking questions before Saturday night's game against the Brewers, Klentak attempted to answer one of the SportsRadio 94 WIP host's inquiries about the trade deadline.

Eskin asks how much "pressure" there is to deal one of the team's players on a one-year deal who likely won't be back. Klentak gives essentially a non-answer and says there's no pressure. Eskin follows up, leading to an even more classic moment when he refers to Phillies pitcher Jeremy Hellickson as "Hendrickson" and Klentak corrects him.

After telling Howard that he was mischaracterizing what he said and while turning to another reporter, Klentak calls Eskin's question "ridiculous."

Howard later responded on Twitter:

You may think Eskin's an ass — and I'd tend to agree with you. But hey, you can't say he doesn't make things entertaining.
