Steve "ESPO" Powers, the artist behind Mural Arts Philadelphia's Love Letter project, will be live-printing garments for free at Suburban Station on Thursday, Feb. 14.
All you need to do is bring a T-shirt to the concourse to get printed. It could be a unique Valentine's Day gift to give your special someone, or keep it for yourself. Nothing wrong with celebrating the holiday with a gift to you, from you.
Powers will be printing shirts from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The limit is two prints per person, and garments only. No paper, canvas or cardboard will be accepted.
There will be some already-printed threads for sale, too, if you forget your shirt.
For those who aren't familiar with the Love Letter project, it's a series of 50 murals from 45th to 63rd streets in West Philly. Each mural is an open-ended love letter.
You can check out some photos of the murals below. They're best seen from SEPTA's Market-Frankford Line. Mural Arts Philadelphia also offers Love Letter tours.
