Police say one person is dead after a crash early Wednesday morning involving a tractor-trailer on the Atlantic City Expressway, 6ABC reports.
The incident occurred around 5 a.m. in the westbound lanes near Route 54 in Hammonton.
The crash, which involved two vehicles, left a tractor-trailer overturned and blocking the left westbound lane, police said. The left eastbound lane was also reportedly blocked.
According to state police, one person was killed in the crash.

6ABC reports that the crash also caused a fuel spill. Road crews were working to clean the area.
The incident remains under investigation.
