Those who want to follow suit and let their hair loose, or want insider tips on styling their textured locks, head to the Philadelphia Natural Hair Show on Saturday, June 24. The show will provide methods on growing and maintaining healthy natural hair.
"We want women to experience the true beauty of their natural hair. The type of beauty focused on self-love, pride and culture,” Monique P. Eversley, Philadelphia Natural Hair Show co-founder, stated in a press release.
The show will feature a full day of workshops, panels, giveaways and guest appearances. Tickets for the Philadelphia Natural Hair Show are $20.
Bravo TV's Africa Miranda will headline this year's Natural Hair Show. Miranda will be discussing the importance of identifying the right ingredients for individual hair texture.

Other big names include Tameeka McNeil-Johnson aka "The Curl Whisper" and Tatiana Ward of Beat Face Honey. McNeil-Johnson will be presenting her trademark natural styling techniques. Licensed educators and more featured guests will be there, too.
At the workshops, learn about new trends in protective styling, methods on stimulating the scalp to grow healthy hair, techniques on fixing damaged hair and quick styling options.
After picking up a few hair care tricks, attendees can shop for salon-grade products for their natural hair.
The day will also feature special performances by Eric Roberson and Lady Alma.
