Philadelphia police are investigating after several gunshots wounded a man early Sunday morning at a popular nightclub in Northern Liberties.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. at The Roxxy, a dance club located at 939 North Delaware Avenue.
A man attending the club with his girlfriend told police he dropped to the floor after hearing a couple of gunshots. When he stood up, he realized he had been shot and walked outside to talk to police on the scene.
The victim was transported to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was treated and released with a bullet still lodged in his left leg.
No weapon was recovered and investigators continue to search for a suspect.
