The results of a new poll show Garden State folks really aren't feeling the love for Gov. Chris Christie.
Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,989 New Jersey voters from May 10-16 by phone, and an overwhelming majority – 64 percent – of those polled say they disapprove of the job Christie is doing in the state. That is his lowest approval rating yet, and, according to the poll's creators, the worst approval rating they've tracked in six years for any governor in the nine states they survey.
It gets worse. According to the poll, 72 percent are also not in favor of a Christie-Donald Trump duo running the country.
"Christie-for-President was a flop and, as far as the local folks are concerned, so is Christie-for-Vice President,” Maurice Carroll, assistant director of the poll, said in a statement.
"It's a drastic decline in popularity for a governor who once looked like a strong choice for president."
