On June 25, the Wissahickon Environmental Center will host a free event for all ages. Kids and their families will be provided with magnifying glasses so they can take a closer look at the insects in the park.
Capture bugs in nets for closer inspection, then create a field sketch to document each finding before letting the bugs go.
Try to find the differences between butterflies and moths or discover the various types of beetles crawling around.
While the event is free, registration is required.
