What do the Eagles have left to do in free agency?

Last Wednesday, the NFL's new league year began, and the Eagles were busy right out of the gate. Over the last nine days, they have signed seven new players in addition to one of their own. They also traded three players, and they lost two in free agency.

The difference (money-wise) between Howie Roseman the GM and Chip Kelly the GM

When the Eagles signed Miles Austin last offseason, it made no sense whatsoever. He was an old, declining, injury-prone receiver, who lacked special teams experience.

Report: Wide receiver Chris Givens to visit Eagles today

Over the last two drafts, the Eagles spent first, second, and third round picks on Nelson Agholor, Jordan Matthews, and Josh Huff, respectively. Beyond the three young guys, the Eagles have almost nothing in the way of depth. It is a near certainty that the Eagles will add help in free agency at the wide receiver position.

In 2015, Carroll had 57 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown against the Giants. He was also widely regarded as a positive locker room influence.

Drafting Ezekiel Elliott at eighth overall would be a bad use of resources

Elliott is really, really good. This is in no way a slight against Elliott, rather, it's a about the value of drafting the position he plays at the eighth overall pick.

Eagles only mock draft, version 4.0

With the first week of free agency basically in the books, the Eagles have completed their heavy shopping. From here on out, I would expect them to sign a veteran wide receiver or two, as well as some other pieces for depth, but I would not expect anymore big splashes. And so, with the roster having a bit more clarity, we look for any excuse to put out a new mock draft! Because page view$$$.

Eagles have sixth-most salary cap committed to QBs in 2016, most in 2017

A week and a half ago, the Eagles were able to reach an agreement with Sam Bradford that will pay him $36 million over the next two seasons, assuming he remains with the team. About a week later they signed Chase Daniel to a three-year deal worth $21 million, with playing time and performance incentives worth up to $36 million.

Eagles lose defensive lineman to Cowboys

Thornton wasn't a big threat as an interior pass rusher, as he had just four sacks and one forced fumble in his four-plus year career. However, he was very good against the run. In 2013 and 2014, Thornton had 112 tackles, an outstanding number for an interior defensive lineman. Thornton's play fell off some in 2015, when he was hampered by hand and ankle injuries.

Colin Kaepernick rumored to be Browns' potential answer at QB: How does it affect Eagles?

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers are discussing a trade for Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick. That possibility has been rumored in NFL media circles since at least the Senior Bowl back in January, but Schefter's report is the first to state the teams are actively talking. So how does it affect the Eagles?
