Report: DeSean Jackson will not play Sunday against the Eagles

DeSean Jackson did not practice this week because of an injured hamstring, so it was highly unlikely he would play on Sunday against the Eagles. However, a more definitive report by ESPN's Britt McHenry emerged that Jackson will not only miss this week's matchup against his former team, he may be out for a while longer.

Eagles expect to play Redskins in Landover this Sunday as scheduled

It appears the Eagles will not be postponing this week's game against Washington to Week 8, when both teams have their bye, nor will they be playing in Detroit, or St. Louis, or even Hawaii, despite my persuasive lobbying. Instead, the Eagles expect to play the Redskins in boring old Landover, Maryland in crappy old FedEx Field this Sunday at 1:00pm, as originally scheduled.

Chip Kelly refers to Washington's team nickname as 'that name' instead of 'Redskins'

Every week prior to game day, the Eagles distribute media guides to members of, you know, the media. This past week, there was an interesting difference on the cover of the Eagles-Redskins media guide -- It didn't say "Eagles vs Redskins." Instead, it said "Philadelphia vs Washington."

The Eagles' deep passing game is non-existent

In 2013, the Eagles set a new NFL record with a ridiculous 80 pass plays of 20+ yards. In 2014, they had 63 pass plays of 20+ yards, which was still good for third in the NFL, but a significant dropoff from 2013. So far in 2015, they have 7, which puts them on pace for 37.
