SugarHouse Casino's first new restaurant will be the steakhouse Hugo's Frog Bar.

The SugarHouse Casino, nearing completion on a massive $164 million expansion project, announced Wednesday the first new restaurant on the property: Hugo's Frog Bar and Chop House.

The restaurant is a present to a city known for its cheesesteaks, hailing from a city known for its steakhouses. Hugo's is part of Chicago-based Gibsons Restaurant Group, best known for its steakhouse of the same name in the Windy City.

This is the first Gibsons restaurants in Philadelphia, and will feature seating for 300 guests.

It's signature dish: the "Philly Cut," a 12-ounce rib-eye topped with smoked provolone, crispy shallots and herbs.

Gibsons will also be the official caterer for the casino's new 30,000-square-foot event space.

The steakhouse and event space are part of SugarHouse's renewed focus on enticing customers with more nongaming amenities, although the expansion will include dozens more table games and poker tables and hundreds more slot machines.

Since undertaking the expansion in July 2014, the casino has more than doubled in size, from 108,000 to 260,000 square feet.
