Suspects wanted in Ogontz robbery

Police are looking for two suspects who allegedly robbed New Almonte Mini Market in Ogontz.

Police have released video of two unknown males who allegedly robbed New Almonte Mini Market in Ogontz on Tuesday.

The suspects entered the store at 2001 W. Spencer St. at 8:43 p.m. and pointed handguns at the 46-year-old male employee behind the counter, police said.

Police said the employee handed one of the suspects $300 from the register, and he placed the money in a plastic bag. Both suspects fled the store and were last seen heading north on Woodstock Street, according to a statement released by police.

No injuries were reported.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male who is 6 feet tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a thick black jacket, black pants, a dark-colored ski mask, gray/black work gloves and was armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male who is 6 feet tall with a stocky build and is light-complected. He was wearing a gray flannel shirt, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, maroon “New Balance” sneakers and was armed with a handgun.
