A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter that took off from Air Station Atlantic City approaches a vessel more than 350 miles off the coast of Cape May, New Jersey. The Coast Guard members transported an injured crewman from the ship to the Atlantic City Trauma Center on Saturday, March 5, 2016.
The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a ship captain who hurt his leg while aboard a vessel 356 miles east of Cape May on Sunday morning.
The Coast Guard said the unidentified captain was taken by helicopter to Atlantic City Trauma Center at around 11 a.m. Sunday and is in fair condition.
