CHOP is looking for musicians to entertain their patients by playing this Steinway & Sons Grand Piano donated to the hospital last year.

Attention Philly musicians: are you looking to put your talents to good use? The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia needs you.

CHOP is seeking piano players to fill the lobby of their hospital with song.

Late last year, Jacobs Music Company donated a Steinway & Sons Grand Piano to the hospital.

Now, CHOP wants talented volunteers to come play the instrument during the morning to bring music to the ears of kids being cared for at the hospital, as well as their friends and families.

Volunteers will play the piano from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.

CHOP is looking for players to choose calm, relaxing music that is appropriate for a hospital environment.

There are some other requirements as well. All performers should have a flu vaccine prior to playing, be free of illness 48 hours before performing and be at least 18 years old.

Anyone interested in performing is asked to email Amy Moore, the events coordinator for CHOP, at: MooreA2@email.chop.edu.
