Lane Johnson is aiming toward being ready to go for Sunday's NFC Championship rematch against the 49ers.

Per The Philadelphia Inquirer's Olivia Reiner, the All-Pro right tackle said Tuesday that he's feeling good and feeling like he'll be ready after he was a late scratch from last week's overtime win against the Bills due to sudden groin soreness.

Johnson, as he explained to Reiner, "popped some scar tissue" in his groin from last year, which created too much discomfort for him to play against Buffalo.

Johnson tore his adductor late last season, but was able to return in time for the playoffs while delaying surgery to repair it into the offseason. And his presence was huge throughout the Eagles' run to the Super Bowl, especially against 49ers star defensive end Nick Bosa, who will likely be Johnson's main assignment again if he is cleared to play.

Jack Driscoll filled in for Johnson against the Bills and outside of a disastrous first snap that led to Jalen Hurts getting pressured right away, he held up admirably as the Eagles managed to climb back in the second half and overtime to win.

The Eagles, however, would always much rather go with Johnson on the right side than without, as they've typically struggled whenever he's been absent with an 11-22 record going back to 2016.
