A handful of the most prestigious fantasy football stars wound up being knocked out of their respective games this week, with some setbacks potentially costly for playing time to come.

As we do every Monday, here's a whip-around look at some of the biggest names with the latest news we know.

Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants

The first-round fantasy pick hurt his ankle during a monster day Sunday but the high ankle sprain has likely been avoided, the team said. He will have an MRI on Monday and more information will be known soon, but he could miss time.

Davante Adams, WR, Raiders

Adams scored a touchdown on an eight-catch day before he left with concussion symptoms in Week 2. He'll be in the NFL's protocol this week.

Jaylen Waddle, WR, Dolphins

Another fantasy stud wideout, another possible concussion. Waddle didn't return after taking a hit late Sunday night that knocked him from the Fins win. Expect to see him on the injury report all week.

David Montgomery, RB, Lions

The Lions running back has a bruised thigh, which sounds like a pretty minor injury but is one worth monitoring this week leading up to their third game.

Travis Etienne, RB, Jaguars

After 14 touches, cramps sidelined the Jags RB1 and he did not return. It's likely he will be fine next week.

Joe Burrow, QB, Bengals

The NFL's highest-paid player said he tweaked his calf late Sunday, but would have returned to the field if the Bengals got the ball back. He might be limited in practice and his status will be worth monitoring this week.

Anthony Richardson, QB, Colts

Richardson, like so many quarterbacks who use their legs a lot, was knocked out with a concussion Sunday after scoring two rushing touchdowns. His status going forward will be up in the air for a bit, especially after Gardner Minshew filled in competently in his absence.

They're fine...

Lamar Jackson, Garrett Wilson and Amon-Ra St. Brown left their respective games with injuries but they were all either minor or precautionary.
