It’s the first week of June, and with First Friday, beautiful weather and tons of amazing entertainment in store this weekend, there’s definitely no excuse to stay in. Here are the events that will keep you dancing Thursday through Sunday.

Thursday, June 4

Jacques Greene with Diamond Girl at The Dolphin

Montreal-based producer Jacques Greene took the club scene by storm several years ago with his pioneering and infectious take on R&B-infused house sounds that earned him bookings at the world’s top clubs and remix/solo offers from Radiohead and Glasgow label LuckyMe, respectively. With highly acclaimed DJ performances and a bag full of lush dance jams, this will be a memorable Thursday night in South Philly.

Friday, June 5

Wave Cave First Friday with DJ Sylo + Rosie, Keystone Mini Golf

DJ Sylo is always pushing the envelope with unique venues for his parties, this time taking the party to a Kensington mini golf course for First Friday. Play some mini golf, take in the work from a number of artists, pose in the photo booth, and enjoy the wavey experimental sounds from Sylo. Free PBR and Pizza Brain pizza while supplies last.

Planet Paradise with Matthew Law, DJ Royale and Dirty at Coda

Planet Paradise is a new party helmed by three of the best party-rocking DJs in the city. For the third edition of this party, the trio of sonic captains will be bringing you a classy mix of futuristic party jams and bangers of all kinds to keep you moving throughout the night.

Good Company with DJ lil'dave & Maggs Bruchez at Kung Fu Necktie

DJ lil’dave of Eavesdrop Radio and Illvibe Collective knows his way around the deeper side of the groove. With his party Good Company, he’ll be bringing the famed Fishtown club/bar a special mix of boogie and funk sounds, from past to present. Local funk-house stars Maggs Bruchez are the special guests for what will surely be a grooving night of good vibrations.

Saturday, June 6

Nadastrom with Jayo & Ed Christof at The Dolphin

The D.C.-born duo Nadastrom released one of the finest electronic full-lengths in recent memory with their early 2015 genre-melding self-titled album on famed label Friends of Friends. Journeying across the dance spectrum with house and funky tribal sounds, Nadastrom’s DJ sets are always must-see affairs. With rumors of debuting new material and opening vibes from Locals+Only residents Jayo & Ed Christof, hold onto your hats for a wild one.

Mr. Sonny James at Morgan’s Pier

Mr. Sonny James is one of the top all-around DJs in Philly and probably the entire East Coast. This Saturday is the kickoff to James' monthlong residency at the waterfront Morgan’s Pier, where he’ll be lacing you with an expertly blended mix of dance, house and funky soul classics.

Sunday, June 7

Live at the Garden: P.S. 118 & WKDU DJs at Silk City

After buying all your bootleg Bart Simpson T-shirts at the Punk Rock Flea Market, head down the street to hang outside at the Silk City beer garden and enjoy a late brunch with some chill music. Local house upstarts P.S. 118 are celebrating the official release of their first EP, Vol. 1, and will be supported by DJs from Drexel’s WKDU 91.7 FM.

Sundae Shakedown with Rob Paine & Willyum, City Tap House University City

Sundae is the legendary end-of-the-weekend party brought to you by Lee Jones and Francisco Collazo. With parties located around the world featuring some of the world’s best DJs, Sundae are experts at curating family-friendly vibes to perfectly wind down your weekend. This Sundae event features the Shakedown massive and Worship Recordings selectors Rob Paine and Willyum.

4 p.m.-2 a.m., $5 with RSVP & entrance before 6 p.m.

Governors Ball presents SBTRKT (LIVE) with Post Malone, TLA

Fresh off a headlining slot at Governors Ball, masked UK sensation SBTRKT will lace the Theatre of Living Arts (TLA) with a live performance of his signature blend of genre-defying electronics. SBTRKT’s past performances in Philly have been raucous affairs, and with new material likely in tow, this will be an equally fun show.
