There are few things in the Philly sports world more universally beloved and defended than the Phillie Phanatic. Others receiving votes include Kelly Green, the Broad Street Bullies and athletes with the last name Dawkins.
Not only is the Phantic far and away the best mascot in the city -- apologies to Swoop, Franklin and the St. Joe's Hawk; the Phanatic in a league of his own -- but he (it?) is regarded as one of the best mascots in all of sports.
Because of that, it seemed strange that local sports talk station 97.5 The Fanatic (no relation to the Phillie Phanatic) tweeted the following poll asking fans if they were sick of the Phanatic.
Are you sick of the Phillie Phanatic?

But they quickly learned why you don't come between the local baseball team and its world-famous mascot...

The Phillies' Twitter account has really stepped its game up recently. It's got some work to do before catching the Sixers, but this gets an A+ grade in my book.
The responses were pretty great as well.
