They say wisdom comes with age.
For one Pennsylvania senior, the adage proved true when, police say, her quick thinking scared away a would-be robber.
According to an Associated Press report on CBSPhilly, the unidentified woman was allegedly approached by the suspect at around 11 a.m. Friday in a Punxsutawney, Pa., parking lot. Punxsutawney is about 70 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
Police say the woman shouted, “There’s the police,” which caused the suspect to drop a weapon, which she then quickly kicked under a vehicle.
The suspect then fled the scene, and police say they determined the weapon was a BB pistol.
