Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney endorsed Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton on Tuesday morning.

Kenney, a first-term Democrat, said in a press statement obtained by PhillyVoice that "Hillary Clinton has the heart, strength and depth of knowledge and experience to unite our nation and lead us during these troubled times. She will build on the accomplishments of President Obama and continue the economic growth and expansion he successfully initiated."

Pennsylvania's primary is April 26. Either Clinton or Bernie Sanders will accept the party's nomination at the Democratic National Convention in July in Philadelphia.
