Source: Eagles will not release center Jason Kelce

According to a source, there is a zero percent chance the Eagles will release center Jason Kelce, despite the team suddenly being stacked with interior offensive linemen.

Report: Alshon Jeffery leaning toward Eagles once free agency begins

When the Philadelphia Eagles signed Torrey Smith earlier today, they were hardly done shopping for wide receivers. Expect at least one more to be added this free agency period.

Expect Eagles to be active today after most boring tampering period ever

Early this week, I cleared my schedule and made sure that I could be in front of a computer for the onslaught of Philadelphia Eagles news that was going to break, beginning at noon on Tuesday with the start of the "legal tampering period," which in the past has always led to the Birds "agreeing to terms with" various players.

Eagles sign former Ravens and 49ers WR Torrey Smith to three-year deal

Torrey Smith fits the profile of a deep threat the Eagles are seeking to add, hence their interest in him near the trade deadline this past season. He ran a 4.41 at the 2011 NFL Combine and has a 17.0-yards per catch average over his career.

Eagles release defensive end Connor Barwin

Throughout the Chip Kelly era, Barwin was one of the most valuable members in Billy Davis' 3-4 defense because of his versatility. Barwin could cover, rush the passer, and play the run, but was not a dominant player when doing any of those things. Playing in a 4-3 defensive scheme under Jim Schwartz that has historically been very stat-friendly for defensive ends, Barwin posted the worst numbers of his Eagles career, across the board.

Expect the Eagles to have a defense-heavy draft

In the 2016 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected offensive players with each of their first five picks. They took Carson Wentz in the first round (second overall), followed by Isaac Seumalo in the third, and both Wendell Smallwood and Halapoulivaati in the fifth round. In the 2017 NFL Draft, there's a pretty good bet the Eagles will go the opposite route, and load up on defense.
