Eagles only 2017 NFL mock draft, version 3.0

The NFL's free agency period has been underway for four days now, and the Philadelphia Eagles' offseason plan has come a little more into focus. Since the Birds don't have much in the way of salary cap space left, any roster moves from here on out will be "bargain bin" guys, unlikely to affect their strategy in the draft. Eagles release QB Chase Daniel

Chase Daniel's tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles included one pass attempt, a 16-yard completion in a win over the New York Giants Week 16 last season. He also served as something of a mentor to rookie quarterback Carson Wentz. For that one pass attempt, the Daniel ate up $5 million in cap space in 2016. He'll also count for a yet to be determined cap penalty (up to $7 million) in 2017, after the Eagles decided to release him Monday night.

2017 NFL/Eagles free agency open thread: Day 3

On Day Three, we'll see if the Eagles add to some of the other depleted areas of their roster, like corner, linebacker, and defensive tackle. There's also the matter of what they can obtain in trades for players like Mychal Kendricks, Chase Daniel, Jason Kelce, for example. But the Eagles probably aren't done making moves.
