Chip Kelly named as one of two 'leading candidates' for USC job

Ever since Chip Kelly landed in Philadelphia, sportswriters have for some reason linked him with whatever latest major college football program suddenly had a new opening. The latest to do is prominent college football writer Paul Finebaum, who said on ESPN's Mike and Mike Show that Kelly is one of two leading candidates for the job opening at USC.

Day-after review: Fletcher Cox is a beast

Against the New Orleans Week 5, Fletcher Cox wrecked the Saints offense, collecting six tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. He has emerged as perhaps the Eagles' best player on the team who can cause havoc from a variety of positions along the defensive line. Let's look at some of his highlights against the Saints.

Day-after review: Josh Huff was explosive

Through the first four weeks of the Eagles' season, wide receiver Josh Huff was basically invisible. He had just 4 catches for 39 yards, no touchdowns, and a long reception of just 13 yards. Additionally, because the Eagles faced of string of kickers who were excellent at banging the ball deep on kickoffs, Huff had just one kick return opportunity as the team's primary kick returner.

Eagles keeping kicker Caleb Sturgis for now

When the Eagles lost Cody Parkey for the season with a groin injury, the Eagles held a kicking competition that was won by former Dolphins kicker Caleb Sturgis. In his first two games, Sturgis is 4/5 on field goal attempts, all from within 41 yards, with his miss coming on a 33 yard chip shot. He also missed his second extra point in as many games. Despite his struggles, Chip Kelly said the Eagles would not be working out any kickers to potentially replace Sturgis.
