Matt Barkley trade no longer conditional; Eagles will receive Cardinals' seventh round pick

When the Eagles traded Matt Barkley to Arizona, they were to receive a seventh round pick in return if Barkley stayed on the Cardinals' roster for six games. Because NFL rosters are frozen on Saturday at 4pm, Barkley is locked in for Week 6, which clinches the seventh round pick for the Eagles.

Why aren't the Eagles' edge rushers generating better sack numbers?

A year ago, Connor Barwin had 14.5 sacks, which was good for fourth in the NFL. Brandon Graham had 5.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in a limited role backing up Trent Cole. Vinny Curry had nine sacks and four forced fumbles as a pass rush specialist in defensive sub-packages. So far this season, the trio of Barwin, Graham and Curry have had less than spectacular numbers.

Byron Maxwell playing better with a reduced role

The Eagles felt that Byron Maxwell was the best cornerback on the market during free agency this past offseason, which was why they signed him to a $63 million deal. Clearly, their expectations were high.

Tom Coughlin: Victor Cruz has 'not been cleared to begin on the field'

The last time Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz played a game was when he tore his ACL in the end zone in Philadelphia during Week 6 of the 2014 season. In Week 6 of the 2015 season, it appears as though Cruz will likely not play as he is trying to recover from a calf injury.
