Stephanie Dzikowski was killed in her home while her child was inside.
A young mother was killed inside her home in Port Richmond while her child was also inside, 6ABC reports.
The shooting occurred on the 3000 block of Aramingo Ave. around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night.
The woman, identified as 22-year-old Stephanie Dzikowski, lived in the home with her father, boyfriend and 2-year-old daughter.
According to Philadelphia police, she was shot in the head execution-style and found in a bedroom. Her 2-year-old girl was unharmed.
"This is a close-knit neighborhood," Philadelphia Police Capt. Drew Techner told 6ABC. "The neighbors are really puzzled as to who would want to harm this mother, young mother."
Police say they are looking for a man wearing a hoodie who fled the scene heading south on Aramingo Avenue.
Dzikowski, who attended Agora Cyber Charter School, reportedly had just graduated from dental hygiene school and started her first job at Center City Dental CARE.
