Law enforcement officials have declared that a suspicious package has been "deemed safe" after it was discovered on the Rutgers University campus.
The school announced Monday at 8:04 a.m. that police responded to the Douglass Parking Deck in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Authorities advised the public to avoid the area while an investigation was conducted.
At 10:06 p.m., the university announced the area surrounding the parking garage has been reopened.

No other details were disclosed.

Law enforcement officials are also conducting probes into two other bombings in the state.
Earlier this morning, a device detonated at a train station in Elizabeth as the FBI was working to disarm it. Four other devices were also discovered. Authorities have not reported any injuries.
On Saturday, a pipe bomb exploded before a charity 5K run to benefit military personnel in Seaside Park, Ocean County. No one was injured, but the event was canceled.
