Questlove, Terry Gross teaming up for live interview event

The Roots' leader & 'Fresh Air' host head to Penn Museum

Two big Philly names are joining up for a WHYY event Sunday, April 24. Terry Gross, host of NPR's "Fresh Air," and Questlove of The Roots will take part in a live interview event at Penn Museum.

"Fresh Air Live: Terry Gross and Questlove" will take place in front of a live audience at Harrison Auditorium in Penn Museum. Questlove is known the world over for his work with the Roots, which is also the house band for "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon." Questlove has received four Grammy awards for his work, and he also served as the producer for the original Broadway cast recording of the "Hamilton" soundtrack. He's also an author, and his third book, "something to food about," will be released April 12.

Peabody Award-winner Terry Gross began her beloved radio show "Fresh Air" in 1987, and each week since listeners have tuned in to experience her eye-opening interviews with influencers of the day. Though the show is broadcast nationally by NPR, it's produced right here in Philadelphia at WHYY.

This event is for WHYY members, but if you're not a member you can purchase a ticket for $85.39, which includes a one-year WHYY membership. Current members receive a discount on tickets; to receive the online discount code, members must get in touch with Member and Audience Services at (215) 351-0511 or memberservices@whyy.org.
