In his previous role as Managing Editor of Express, The Post's daily Metro publication, he led a team covering local, sports, U.S. and world news beats. Jeff also formerly worked as Sports Editor at Express and The Washington Examiner. He graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. degree in journalism.

Philly has 6th-largest population decline in U.S., but its suburbs are growing

Philadelphia saw one of the sharpest population declines in the United States from 2022 to 2023, losing more than 16,000 residents, according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates released Thursday. Meanwhile, its four neighboring counties – Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery – each grew.
