.Yes, Tom Brady is still the quarterback of the New England Patriots. Yes, Bill Belichick is still the head coach. Yes, Rob Gronkowski is still a behemoth to have to deal with (assuming he makes it through the concussion protocol in time for Sunday). And yes, the Pats, like the Eagles, are 15-3. Still, this is a flawed team, and not as good as many of the Patriots teams of the Tom Brady era.

Philadelphia Eagles legend Brian Dawkins' official title is listed on the team's website as "Executive / Football Operations." Unofficially, he was also helping coach the defensive backs and linebackers, teaching that techniques and making himself available to any player who needed any kind of guidance, football-related, or other. A player with a similar level of juice as Dawkins within the Eagles' locker room is Jason Peters.

One of the perceived advantages that the New England Patriots have in the Super Bowl is that they are a far more experienced playoff team than the Philadelphia Eagles. It's certainly a fair point. Before this season, the Birds hadn't been to the playoffs since the 2013 season, and they hadn't won a playoff game since the 2008 season, while the Pats are, you know, the Pats.

There was little question that New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski was going to play in the Super Bowl after suffering a concussion in the AFC Championship Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. On Thursday, Gronkowski passed through the NFL's concussion protocol, and will be a go on Sunday in the Super Bowl.
