Preseason All-NFC East team: Offense edition

I learned something today. The offenses in the NFC East aren't really all that scary. That's the conclusion I've come to after putting together my preseason All-NFC East team. The Eagles in particular don't exactly have much in the way of ammo. Let's just get right to it.

Leodis McKelvin likely a favorite to start at cornerback for Eagles

While it is certainly too early to crown a starter at corner just yet, Leodis McKelvin was a higher priority signing in free agency, he's making more money than Nolan Carroll, he had a great (although incomplete) season under Jim Schwartz, and Schwartz has already identified that he's comfortable McKelvin. By that logic, I'd say McKelvin is a pretty good be in the driver's seat for a starting job.

Eagles player says the offense wore down late in 2015

One of the biggest criticisms of Chip Kelly's fast-paced offense over the last three years was that it forced the Eagles' defense to face more than two full games' worth of snaps over the course of a season than the typical NFL team. It turns out it wasn't just the defense that wore down because of Kelly's style of play. Kelly's fast-paced offense also wore down the offensive line, according to starting right tackle Lane Johnson.

Eagles' OTA practice notes: Sam Bradford sharp, defense a mess

On the second day of media access to Eagles OTAs, Sam Bradford was very sharp. He missed a wide open Zach Ertz on a sideline throw, but otherwise, Bradford was very accurate, delivering the ball with good placement and allowing receivers to get yards after the catch.

The Eagles' 2014 draft class needs to finally produce

There's an NFL philosophy that says that players will make a big jump in their third year in the league. Whether or not you buy that, in the Eagles' case, the 2014 draft class better start producing, and soon.
