Philadelphia police arrested three protesters who demonstrated Thursday morning outside of the Fox29 studios at Fourth and Market streets. They included Erica Mines and Rufus Farmer, who interrupted former President Bill Clinton last week during a Mount Airy campaign event for his wife, Hillary.

SEPTA is expected to begin rolling out its long-anticipated SEPTA Key card on Monday, the transit authority announced. Ten thousand key cards will go on sale June 13 as part of SEPTA's Early Adopters pilot program.

State lawmakers announced Wednesday they are introducing a legislation that would automatically seal nonviolent misdemeanors and other minor crimes after an established period of time. Dubbed the Clean Slate Act, the bipartisan proposal would unburden Pennsylvanians who struggle to obtain employment, housing or education due to a blemish on an otherwise clean criminal record, state Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams says.

Austin Eaddy, 23, of Philadelphia, is charged with rape, sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault – all felonies – and related misdemeanor and summary offenses, according to court documents. He allegedly raped a female student at the New Street Parking garage.

Charles M. Hallinan, 75, was charged with two counts of conspiracy to violate federal racketeering laws and nine counts of international money laundering. Wheeler K. Neff, 67, of Wilmington, Delaware, was indicted on the same charges for his role in the alleged scam.

SEPTA will commence using its Positive Train Control system on the Warminster Regional Rail Line on Monday, April 18. The Federal Railroad Administration gave SEPTA written authorization to implement provisional Revenue Service Operations, a fancy title for having the technology system active during regular passenger service.
