Police are seeking the public's help in finding a suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of a Wawa in Northeast Philadelphia.

In surveillance video released by police Tuesday, an unknown male suspect can be seen entering a Wawa on the 800 block of Cottman Ave. in Burholme on Aug. 23 at 2:35 a.m.

He approaches the cashier, pulls out a small black semi-automatic handgun and demands money, according to police. After the employee gives him $150 from the register, the suspect flees from the store and runs north on the 7300 block of Rockwell Ave., police say.

The cashier was not injured during the incident.

Police describe the suspect as a 6-foot-tall Hispanic male, late 20s to early 30s, with a slight goatee, wearing black cargo shorts, a white short-sleeve T-shirt and a black baseball-type cap with a Philadelphia Eagles logo on the front.
