"A Knight's Tale"/Columbia Pictures
"A Knight's Tale," which premiered in 2001, stars Heath Ledger.
On the first Thursday of the month, the Philadelphia Film Society hosts Throwback Thursday Quizzo at the Prince Theater.
The night begins by quizzing attendees on a popular movie from the past. After the game ends, the movie is screened while judges tally Quizzo scores. Winners receive prizes, as the end credits roll.
July's movie pick is "A Knight's Tale," a movie that bends genres. It has action & adventure, romance, satire and even a musical element.
Heath Ledger plays the main character, William Thatcher, who pretends to be a knight to compete in various jousting competitions across Europe for fame, fortune and a woman's love.
Tickets for the event are $13 per person. Discounts are available for students, seniors and military. Quizzo starts at 7:30 p.m.
Only those 21-plus will be allowed to attend. Drinks will be available for purchase.
