"Run the inside zone... Yes, I know we just ran it twice for -6 yards. Just run it again. And quickly!"

Tonight's Thursday Night Football matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals is of modest interest to Philadelphia Eagles fans, as it will, of course, feature old friend Chip Kelly. Vegas oddsmakers have set the over/under of the number of Niners running back swing passes at 7.5.

In terms of relevance to the Eagles' football team itself, the Niners are something of a non-factor, as they are likely to finish with one of the worst records in the NFL in 2016. The team to watch in terms of playoff jockeying is the Cardinals, who racked up a 34-14 record from 2013-2015 and were thought to be strong Super Bowl contenders heading into the 2016 season. However, the Cards have started slowly, falling to 1-3 after their first four games.

Obviously, it's a little early to be looking ahead to the playoffs, as the Eagles have to take care of their own business. But in terms of viewing this game tonight, certainly, the Cardinals are the bigger threat if indeed the Eagles continue to play well and end the regular season as legitimate contenders.
