When the Eagles are on the practice field at training camp, you see quite a bit of green at the NovaCare Complex. After the players take their helmets off, though, we learned on Monday that one player decided to go the extra mile in the team spirit department.
Meet rookie cornerback Jalen Mills, a 7th-round draft pick out of LSU.
Mills said that the idea to dye his hair green, albeit a shade closer to the Kelly green uniforms of the past rather than the current midnight green, was hatched with a friend of his about a week ago.
“Just joking with one of my friends, I actually came through and I actually kind of liked it a little bit so I’m going to keep it for sure,” Mills said.
With such an interesting hairdo, the question was posed to Mills if his teammates had any comments. Unsurprisingly, they did.
“Green Goblin, The Joker, I’ve heard Lime Green Skittle, Starburst, Mills said. “So yeah, I’ve been getting an earful.”
Mills had an impressive first day of camp, which means that it must be the hair.
