Naked cyclists will take to the streets again this September

It's almost time for the 2016 Philly Naked Bike Ride

The date for the 2016 Philly Naked Bike Ride has been announced. Thousands of cyclists in little more than their birthday suits will take to the streets on Sept. 10, beginning at 5 p.m., for a 10-mile ride.

The day before the event, the meeting point will be announced online to the expected 3,000-plus participants. The ride is free to attend, just show up at the starting point.

According to Philly Naked Bike Ride, the evening event is all about, "riding together to promote fuel conscious consumption, positive body image and cycling advocacy."

Those participating, remember, only go as bare as you dare. Strategic body paint or a pair of knickers don't mean you've chickened out.
