Two Camden County Police officers shot and killed a man who reportedly aimed a gun at them, according to multiple media outlets.
CBS Philly reports that the officers responded to a man who was threatening to kill himself in the Cramer Hill neighborhood of Camden around 11:30 p.m. Friday night.
The man approached the officers pointing a gun at them, according to police. The officers shot and killed the man, and said they found a loaded handgun in his possession afterward.
According to NBC Philadelphia, the unidentified suspect was a male in his 30's, and was not allowed to have a gun in his possession due to a prior drug conviction.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Attorney General's Office will investigate the incident while the two unidentified officers will be placed on administrative duty.
