When training camp opens up in a few weeks, the Eagles will eschew their shorts for full padded practices, many of which will include tackling, just like in the old Andy Reid days. There were some players who impressed during OTAs and minicamp, but playing in pads is another animal. Here are five players who will have my attention.

In a weak division, there might be temptation to "go for it" and construct an offseason in which the priority is to "win now." That does not appear to be the approach the Eagles are taking.

By my count, there are 51 cities in the United States and Canada with at least one franchise in the NFL, the NBA, the NHL, or MLB. Last night, when the Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Championship, they broke a 52-year drought in which the city of Cleveland did not have a title in the four major American sports leagues. Now that they finally have something to celebrate, let's take an updated look at the last time each of those 51 cities brought home the glory.

Stephen Tulloch, 31, isn't an impact player by any stretch, as he has just five interceptions and two forced fumbles over a 10-year career. However, he has been a solid player with the Lions, topping at least 100 tackles in every season he finished in Detroit.

Estimating a salary cap of $166,000,000 in 2017 (it is $155,270,000 in 2016), overthecap.com has the Eagles with $177,270,225 in active cap spending in 2017, which would put them well over 2017 salary cap estimates.

This offseason, the Eagles prioritized signing a number of their own players, wrapping up Zach Ertz, Brent Celek, Lane Johnson, Vinny Curry, Malcolm Jenkins, Sam Bradford, and Fletcher Cox to multiple-year deals. With so many players now locked up for the long term, let's take another look at the remaining Eagles players who will be unrestricted free agents next offseason.

All week long, we took a brutal look at each of the teams in the NFC East, in detail. On Monday we began with Dallas Cowboys, and then turned our attention to the New York Giants on Tuesday, the Washington Redskins on Wednesday, and the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday. As a reminder, we did not talk about the positives of any of them, because, well, that's no fun. They were 100 percent vitriolic. In case you missed any of them, here's the series in full.

Continuity is great, but only when you have talented players. Continuity with mediocre players will make you consistently bad. The 1999-2008 Eagles were very talented, so it made sense to keep continuity. While the Eagles are wise to strive for continuity, it will only work if the players they've committed to are, you know, good, which Howie Roseman understands.
