Howie Roseman somehow pulled off the impossible -- He got someone to take DeMarco Murray's terrible contract off the Eagles' hands. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Eagles have reached an agreement that will send DeMarco Murray to the Tennessee Titans.

Maxwell is scheduled to count for $9.7 million on their salary cap this season. The Eagles can save $4.9 million off their cap if they can trade him. He would count for $4.8 million on their cap in that scenario.

Mathews was good last season when he was healthy. He gained 539 yards and scored six touchdowns on 106 carries (5.1 yards per carry), and was far more effective than Murray. However, as he has over the entire course of his career, Mathews was unable to consistently stay healthy.

At a minimum, the Eagles will need to add depth at wide receiver. Speaking to reporters at the NovaCare Complex last Thursday, Doug Pederson was asked about his young wide receivers. Unprompted, he noted during his answer that the Eagles will be shopping for receivers in free agency.

One of the lesser known drills at the NFL Combine is the radar gun test, which for some strange reason NFL Network does not air on television. Essentially, each quarterback lets it rip, and a radar gun measures the football's speed, much like a baseball pitcher's.

The Eagles tendered a one-year contract to restricted free agent Matt Tobin this morning. He was presumably tendered by the team at the “original round” price of approximately $1.67 million, which is the lowest tender a restricted free agent can receive.

The Philadelphia Eagles are down a player today, after they announced that center David Molk is retiring from football. Molk played in eight games for the Eagles from 2014 to 2015, starting four.
