Eagles want height-weight continuity at each individual position

Way back in April, prior to the 2015 NFL Draft, Eagles quasi-GM Ed Marynowitz laid out the Eagles three-pronged approach to player selection in building their roster. "Number one, it's the height-weight-speed, according to the position" said Marynowitz. "That's the one factor of it. They either have that or they don't. It doesn't necessarily eliminate them per se, but that's one element of it. So you'll grade that individually.

Chip Kelly's overhaul of the secondary 'on and off the field'

Byron Maxwell was the Eagles' highest rated defensive back in free agency this offseason, and it showed when they made him the fifth highest paid cornerback in the NFL. However, the Eagles didn't just pay Maxwell a lot of money. According to Chip Kelly, part of the reason they traded LeSean McCoy and got rid of other expensive players was to free up money to go after Maxwell in free agency.

Late last week LeSean McCoy announced a "female only" private party he was holding in Philly. It would appear LeSean either changed his mind, or perhaps he didn't find enough acceptable skanks to show up.
