Philadelphia residents have reputation for being vocal — some say angry — about everything from sports to driving and neighborhood development.

If you want to yell and shout, it helps not to be facing a wall or the skies, or fuming only on Reddit (which actually did help the city become aware of moldy lemon-tasting tap water).

Here's your chance to tell the city how you really feel. In partnership with BeHeardPhilly and Temple University's Institute for Survey Research (ISR), the city of Philadelphia has launched its 2016 Resident Survey to gauge how the public feels about local services and where the administration most urgently needs to direct its efforts toward improvement.

“Philadelphians have never been shy to voice their opinions about city services, but for too long the city has failed to use that feedback in a systemic way,” said Mayor Kenney. “This resident survey is an important step in that direction.”

In all, the survey takes about ten minutes to complete. You'll be asked for demographic data that will give the city a good idea about where you fit into the big picture, how active you are in civic life and where your neighborhood needs attention.

In the future, the city plans to partner again with BeHeardPhilly and Temple ISR to conduct follow-up focus groups and smaller, topic-specific surveys to gather more in-depth feedback.

You can take the survey in English or Spanish here.
