Drinking at Yards Brewery can save local cats

The brewery and a no-kill shelter are hosting a fundraiser

Yards Brewery and City Kitties have come up with the easiest fundraiser plan ever: drink beer, save cats.

One $40 ticket to the event (fittingly titled Drink Beer, Save Cats) at Yards includes all the beer you can drink, with a portion of the profits benefitting the West Philly no-kill, a volunteer-run nonprofit rescue shelter. Attendees will receive raffle tickets for a gift basket prize.

The fundraiser takes place next month, on Sept. 16, but nabbing a ticket early is recommended before they sell out.

Drinking takes place outside the brewery, with the hope that weather will change to early fall temperatures by mid-September.

A line-up of food trucks will be on-site for hungry attendees to grab snacks between beers.
