A teenage boy struck and killed by a car in Hunting Park on Sunday evening was identified by family members as 17-year-old Adelso 'Adeiry' Matos.
According to 6 ABC, police say DUI charges are pending in the accident that occurred around 7:15 p.m. near 7th and Cayuga streets.
Friends of Matos said that he was with them at a nearby park but had left to go home before he was struck while riding his bike.
According to witnesses, there were beer cans inside the striking vehicle, whose 28-year-old driver was taken into custody.
Adelso's family said that he was going to be a senior at Olney High School in the fall.
