Joe Biden taking in the Flyers-Capitals game, enjoying some ice cream

Earlier today, we learned that vice president Joe Biden will be spending quite a bit of time in Philly after his second term ends in January. The former six-time senator from Delaware is “expected to create a mission center at the University of Pennsylvania to continue his advocacy work on a variety of fronts,” according to Politico.

And on Wednesday night, the VP was at the Wells Fargo Center taking in the Flyers-Capitals game. He was even caught enjoying some ice cream by a fan in the stands:

We already know about Dr. Jill Biden’s rabid Flyers fandom, and it also should come as no surprise that the vice president opted for some ice cream. In fact, CNN even put together a video compilation chronicling Biden’s love affair with ice cream:

It’s not the first time Biden has sat in the stands at a Flyers game, either. Perhaps after he has a little less on his plate in 2017, he can attend games a little more frequently.
