Philadelphia man found dead on Megabus in State College

Victim, 54, found in restroom with needle in arm

Authorities in State College are investigating after a Philadelphia man was found dead Thursday afternoon on a Megabus in State College.

Officials said the body was discovered shortly before 1 p.m. on a bus traveling from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh after a passenger requested that the bus driver open the restroom door, according to the Centre Daily Times.

A short time later, the door was opened and the 54-year-old "fell out" with a needle still stuck in his arm. Police said the man, who has not been identified, was fine when he boarded the bus in Philadelphia and there did not appear to be any issues at previous stops in Harrisburg and Mifflintown.

Authorities said the man was dead at the scene and it was too late to successfully perform CPR.

A spokesperson for the Patton Township Police Department said detectives do not suspect any foul play in the incident.
