Winslow Township police blocked off are surrounding the scene of the shooting Sunday morning.

An unidentified man was shot and killed by police in Winslow Township, Camden County, on Sunday morning. 


According to NBC 10, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office stated the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. along the 300 block of New Brooklyn Road. 

No officers were injured and investigators declined to reveal what led to an escalation and the use of deadly force. 

The incident marks the second fatal police shooting in New Jersey in the past month, after 36-year-old Jerame Reid was killed on Dec. 30 in Bridgeton. The release of a dash-cam video sparked additional controversy and has raised questions about the police response

The shooting in Winslow Township remains under investigation at this time.
