An investigation is underway after a man who was found dead inside of a suitcase in Delaware County on Thursday afternoon was identified by police.
According to NBC 10, police in Tinicum identified the victim as 40-year-old Scott Stephen Bernheisel, whose last known address was in Philadelphia, according to records.
The body was discovered after a dog walker nearby the Tinicum Industrial Park alerted police about the suitcase. The dog walker reportedly noticed the suitcase a few days back and later recognized a suspicious smell, according to the Delaware County Prosecutor's Office.
Officials have not revealed a cause or manner of death.
