Police seek suspect in robbery of pizza deliveryman pistol whipped in assault

Assault occured on the 600 block of Foulkrod Street in Lawncrest

Police are seeking two suspects in the robbery and assault of pizza deliveryman just after midnight on Sunday in Lawncrest.

According to NBC 10, the 34-year-old victim, an employee of Nick's Pizza, arrived at a customer's home on the 600 block of Foulkrod Street to find two men sitting on the front steps. When the deliveryman asked if the men had ordered a pizza, one of them asked for a price and the other pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, authorities said.

The suspects demanded money from the deliveryman, taking $120 in cash in addition to the food order and a cell phone, before one of them pistol whipped the deliveryman as he returned to his car, the victim told police. At the point, the victim returned to his employer and called police, who checked the location of the delivery but did not find the suspects.

The two suspects are both described as men between the ages of 25 and 30, each around 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. One suspect wore a green t-shirt, a baseball hat and camouflage pants while the other wore a white t-shirt and carried a black handgun.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia police.
