St. Joseph's Hospital in North Philadelphia is expected to close in March.
North Philadelphia Health System announced it will close St. Joseph's Hospital as part of an effort to consolidate operations, according to CBSPhilly.com.
The closing of the 146-bed facility, located at 16th Street and Girard Avenue, will be made effective on March 31 and result in the layoff of up to 675 workers.
North Philadelphia Health System will base all of its operations out of Girard Medical Center, located at 8th Street and Girard Avenue.
