Five things to watch in the Eagles-Browns preseason game

The Philadelphia Eagles will play their second preseason game Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia against the Cleveland Browns. The most important starters on both sides of the ball will almost certainly not play after the two teams had two days of joint practices on Wednesday and Thursday. Still, there are interesting sub-plots to keep an eye on in this matchup.

Stock up, stock down after 15 Eagles training camp practices

The Philadelphia Eagles are 15 practices into their 2025 training camp, and we're beginning to see separation at some of the contested positional battles, as well as players on the bubble who are either helping or hurting their chances of making the 53-man roster. In this version, we won't include any players who appeared in our "stock up, stock down post" after the first five practices. On Monday, we placed all of the players in Philadelphia Eagles training camp into four buckets: Locks, not-quite-locks, bubble players, and longshots. Last week the Philadelphia Eagles traded iDL Thomas Booker to the Las Vegas Raiders for CB Jakorian Bennett. The move signaled concern about the Eagles' corners, but also perhaps some confidence in their young interior defensive linemen, namely Gabe Hall, who has had a good start to camp.

Analyzing NFL executives' perceptions of Eagles QB Jalen Hurts

Each year, Mike Sando of The Athletic publishes "QB Tiers," with commentary gathered from "six general managers, six assistant GMs, six former GMs, five other executives, eight head coaches and 19 other coaches, including 15 coordinators." So, you know, these rankings are from people with (mostly) high-level jobs in the NFL, as opposed to any old jabroni with a keyboard who thinks Geno Smith or Trevor Lawrence are better than Jalen Hurts because, "Durrr, hUrtS' tEAm is gUd, sO tHaT mEAnS hE's nOt gUd."

Eagles 2025 training camp practice notes, Day 13: Landon Dickerson contingency plans

Day 13 of Philadelphia Eagles training camp is in the books, and I'm pretty sure it was the shortest practice of camp so far, at around 57 minutes. Let's just get right to the notes.

With Philadelphia Eagles training camp a dozen practices in, let's update the locks to make the roster, the not-quite-locks, bubble players, and longshots, as a way to sort of show the number of open spots on the roster, and who will be fighting for them.
